I ran into someone yesterday and this person is a great person, kind, warm hearted and so much more. But I was a bit disturbed after we talked because this person is reaching and trying to hard to be like this other group of people. Must have this car, this hat, these shoes and what not. And now I sit here lost. Wondering why so many in the human race strive to be like someone else? Isn't individuality what makes us who we are??? I mean if you grabbed a pen and were to draw the same thing as that person over there would it be nearly as powerful? Doesn't the same thing go for us? The humans??? If you were out with 10 of your friends would you want to fit right in and look like the rest or would it just feel better to be yourself?

And then, OMG, then last night I watched Little Miss Sunshine at 1AM and the end, the end was so great! I was smiling away! See, the youngest in the movie, this girl who I'm assuming is supposed to be like 6-7 ends up in the Little Miss Sunshine beauty contest and all the other girls dance and look like little scary dolls... Then it's her turn and while a few people in her family want her to not go up she does anyways... She dances, she's up there all slappin' her ass and dancing around like a 6 year old should be (maybe minus the ass slappin') and the people running the show try to get her off the stage, the father jumps up on the people and then he's going to get her off the stage and instead starts dancin' with her. Then the whole family is up there dancing. And it's just so great! She did her own thing.

And I guess that's all I'm trying to get at, it's the weekend and as far as I'm concerned, it's time to do your own thing... Keep being the person you are. Be yourself and be full of your own magic! Reach for the moon and hey, the worst that might happen is you end up amoung the stars... Is that all bad????
